Deltans should remain hopeful as the Delta State Social Investment Programme, DSSIP, prepares to commence another impactful programme aimed at improving the lives of vulnerable citizens across the state.

The programme is expected to provide meaningful support to vulnerable Deltans, alleviate poverty and create opportunities that can improve household incomes and livelihoods.

The General Manager of DSSIP, Chief Henry Sakpra, said the programme is part of the state government’s sustained efforts to put smiles on the faces of the people and ensure that the benefits of government reach those who need them most.

He said the DSSIP would continue to strengthen its interventions and support initiatives that promote social inclusion, economic empowerment and improved living conditions for Deltans.

Chief Sakpra said the intervention would complement existing government efforts to reduce economic hardship, strengthen the capacity of vulnerable households and enable beneficiaries to become more self-reliant.

He added that the programme was also designed to support the state government’s broader vision of inclusive development by creating opportunities for people at the grassroots and ensuring that no vulnerable citizen is left behind.

Chief Sakpra called on Deltans to remain patient and hopeful, assuring them that the government is committed to implementing programmes that directly impact their lives.

He also urged Deltans to continue to support the Federal and Delta State Governments, noting that sustained cooperation from the people remains important to the success of development programmes and initiatives.
