The Class of 1976 of Notre Dame College, Ozoro, Delta State, popularly known as NDC, is set to mark the 50th anniversary of its graduation with a grand reunion from October 16 to 18, 2026.

The three-day celebration, according to a statement signed by the Class Prefect, Dr. Patrick Akporuno, and the Organising Chairman, Dr. Opa Williams, will bring together former classmates who were admitted into the college in 1972 and those who graduated in 1976.

The golden jubilee, which is expected to be a celebration of friendship, shared memories and achievements, will feature a series of activities designed to reconnect members of the class and strengthen their bond with their alma mater.

Among the activities lined up are academic seminars, a special “give back” initiative to the school, a gala night and awards ceremony, as well as a courtesy visit to the Ovie of Ozoro.

The programme will also feature a special thanksgiving service to mark the milestone and celebrate the achievements and journeys of members of the class over the past five decades.

The organisers disclosed that the class had an initial admission of 103 students in 1972, while 96 students eventually graduated in 1976.

The anniversary is expected to attract distinguished personalities, including the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Warri, Most Rev. Anthony Ovayero Ewherido, as well as eminent scholars and other notable old students of Notre Dame College, Ozoro.

The organisers said the reunion would provide an opportunity for members of the Class of 1976 to reflect on their formative years at NDC, celebrate their collective accomplishments and renew their commitment to supporting the development of their alma mater.

The golden jubilee celebration is also expected to serve as a platform for members of the class to inspire younger generations of students through their experiences, contributions and continued commitment to education and community development.
