State Govt dispels scam fears, assures Deltans of genuine intervention-Chief Sapra

The Delta State Social Investment Programme, DSSIP, had expressed its commitment to reach the downtrodden and vulnerable residents across the state, particularly those struggling to meet their basic daily needs.
The General Manager of the Programme, Chief Henry Sapra, said the initiative was born out of the need to respond to the cries and economic challenges confronting many Deltans, noting that some residents can barely afford a meal a day.
Chief Sapra said the programme would work closely with Local Government Council Chairmen, who have access to data on vulnerable persons in their respective communities, to ensure that those in need are properly identified and reached.
He explained that the approach would help the programme to target genuine beneficiaries and ensure that government interventions get to the people for whom they are intended.
According to him, the DSSIP was poised to change the narrative of the downtrodden by providing support that will restore hope, improve livelihoods, and enable vulnerable residents to become more economically empowered
Chief Sapra further assured that the intended grants under the programme would be directed to those who genuinely need them, stressing the importance of reaching the most vulnerable members of society.
He said the DSSIP remains committed to complementing the efforts of the Delta State Government in strengthening social protection and improving the welfare of vulnerable citizens across the state.
