Ojo Says Goal Is Total Victory For APC, As He Holds Strategic Meeting With Support Group

In a strategic move aimed at strengthening the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the grassroots ahead of the 2027 general elections, Consultant to the Delta State Government on Health, Hon (Dr) Alphonsus Ojo, has intensified political mobilization across Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta State.

At the weekend, Umutu, headquarters of Ukwuani Ward 1, came alive as members of the Dr. Ojo Support Group, one of the most organised political pressure support groups in the locality, converged for an enlarged strategic meeting convened by its founder, Hon. Alphonsus Ojo.

The meeting, which drew supporters from across the ward, was aimed at appraising the preparedness, cohesion and commitment of members towards the forthcoming electoral contest, as well as charting a clear path for effective grassroots engagement.

The venue was filled to capacity as a large crowd of loyal supporters, including women, youths, elders and party faithful, turned out in solidarity.

The gathering was also characterized by songs, chants and open display of loyalty to the leadership of the three terms member of the Delta State House of Assembly, underscoring the deep bond between the leader and his support base.

In his address, Hon. Ojo expressed profound appreciation for the overwhelming turnout, describing it as a testament to the unity and strength of the group. He commended members for their discipline, steadfastness and consistency over the years, noting that their commitment has remained the driving force behind the sustained growth of the group.

The former Lawmaker reassured members of his continued support and commitment to their welfare, stressing that their progress and empowerment remain central to his political engagement.

According to him, politics must translate to meaningful impact on the lives of the people at the grassroots.

Hon. Ojo charged members to remain united, focused and committed to the task ahead, which according to him, is the total victory of the All Progressives Congress at all levels.

"The task before us is clear - to deliver APC 5/5 in the forthcoming elections. We must remain united, go from house to house, and preach the message of our party and its developmental agenda under the leadership of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu”, he stated.

He further emphasized the need for sustained door-to-door mobilisation, effective voter sensitisation and the protection of the party's interest at the polling units.

Some leaders of the group who spoke at the meeting reaffirmed their loyalty to Hon. Ojo and pledged to intensify mobilization efforts across the ward and neighbouring communities.

They described Hon. Ojo as a grassroots leader whose humility, accessibility and consistent empowerment programmes have distinguished him among his peers.

The meeting ended on a high note, with renewed commitment and a resolution by members to redouble their efforts to ensure resounding victory for the APC in the 2027 general elections.
