Nkem Nwaeke Celebrates Classmate, Prof. Ufuophu-Biri, on Birthday

The Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Nkem Nwaeke, has felicitated with the Rector of Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara, Prof. Emmanuel Ufuophu-Biri, on the occasion of his birthday.

Nwaeke, in a goodwill message on Sunday, described Prof. Ufuophu-Biri as a worthy classmate, friend and proud alumnus of the 1998 set of the Department of Mass Communication, Delta State University, Abraka.
He said the celebrant had continued to bring honour to their graduating set through his commitment to academic excellence, media practice and visionary leadership.

According to Nwaeke, Prof. Ufuophu-Biri has remained a shining example of diligence, brilliance and dedicated service, from his days at DELSU to his present position as Rector of one of Delta State's foremost tertiary institutions.

“Prof. Biri has exemplified diligence, brilliance and service. From our days in DELSU Abraka to where he is today leading one of Delta’s foremost polytechnics, he remains a shining example of what scholarship and hard work can achieve,” Nwaeke stated.

The CPS also commended the Rector for the progress recorded at Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara, particularly in the areas of infrastructure, staff development and expansion of academic programmes.

He noted that Prof. Ufuophu-Biri's commitment to quality education and human capital development was consistent with the MORE Agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, which places emphasis on education, skills acquisition and the development of young people in the state.

Nwaeke further acknowledged the celebrant's contributions to media scholarship and public communication in Nigeria, describing his professional journey as an inspiration to younger academics, media practitioners and students.

He expressed confidence that Prof. Ufuophu-Biri would continue to make meaningful contributions to education and the development of Delta State and Nigeria.

Nwaeke prayed God to grant the celebrant good health, greater wisdom and many more years of impactful service to humanity.
