Jude Omena Ogbimi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Delta Trust Mortgage Bank Limited, has congratulated Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, on his conferment with the Christian Icon Award by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Abuja.

The award, presented on Saturday, recognised Oborevwori’s commitment to public service, integrity, ethical leadership and Christian values.

Ogbimi described the honour as a fitting recognition of the governor’s leadership qualities, dedication to the welfare of the people and commitment to service.

He said the award underscored the importance of integrity, humility and the application of Christian principles in public office, noting that leadership should ultimately be measured by its impact on the lives of the people.

The Delta Trust Mortgage Bank chairman commended CAN for recognising Oborevwori’s contributions to governance and urged the governor to remain steadfast in his commitment to the development of Delta State.

He expressed confidence that the recognition would further inspire the governor to sustain his administration’s development initiatives under the MORE Agenda, which focuses on Meaningful Development, Opportunities for All, Realistic Reforms and Enhanced Peace and Security.

Ogbimi wished Oborevwori continued wisdom, strength and divine guidance as he steers the affairs of the state, describing the award as a source of pride to Deltans.

He also called on leaders at all levels to uphold the values of honesty, accountability, compassion and selfless service in the discharge of their responsibilities, stressing the need for principled leadership that prioritises the welfare and development of the people.
