As part of efforts to strengthen grassroots political structures ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Consultant to the Delta State Government on Health, Hon (Dr) Alphonsus Ojo, on Monday held a strategic meeting with two of his core support groups, Ojo Ladies and Ojo Vibrant Ladies, in Umutu, Ukwuani Local Government Area.

The meeting was convened the former Lawmaker who represented Ukwuani Constituency in the State House of Assembly, to assess the groups' level of mobilization, organizational structure and preparedness at the ward and local government levels.

Addressing the people, Ojo commended the women for their dedication, resilience and loyalty to his political vision.

He charged them to deepen grassroots engagement, expand voter outreach and intensify door-to-door mobilization to ensure a resounding 5/5 victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) across all polling units in Ukwuani.

Hon Ojo expressed gratitude to both groups for their unwavering support and reassured them of his continued commitment to their welfare and growth.

"I will continue to help and also lend my voice to attract tangible benefits and dividends of democracy to the groups, as I have always done whenever the need arises. I will ensure your sacrifices do not go unnoticed. Collectively, with unity of purpose, we can make Umutu Ward and the entire Ukwuani Local Government win massively in the coming election," Ojo said.

The former Lawmaker maintained that the record breaking achievements of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has made campaign for his reelection and those of all APC candidates in the 2027 general elections easier.
