AMORI HAILS ANIAGWU, CELEBRATES A LIFE OF SERVICE TO DELTA STATE

The Chief Adviser to the Governor of Delta State, Sen. Chief Ighoyota Amori, PhD, has felicitated with the Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads) and Public Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, on the occasion of his birthday anniversary, describing him as a dedicated public servant whose career has consistently reflected competence, loyalty, and a deep commitment to the Delta State project.

In a congratulatory message issued by his Public Relations Officer, Mr. Joelson Wilson, Sen. Amori commended Aniagwu’s journey from journalism into public service, noting that his years as Chief Press Secretary to former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, and now as a two-time Commissioner under Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, have positioned him as one of the most consistent and effective voices in Delta State governance.

“Charles Aniagwu belongs to that rare class of public officers who have mastered the art of speaking for government while also delivering visible results on the ground,” Amori said. “As Commissioner for Works, Rural Roads and Public Information, he has combined the responsibility of explaining government policy with the duty of building the roads that connect our rural communities to opportunity. That is no small feat, and it speaks to his diligence and versatility.”

The Chief Adviser recalled Aniagwu’s steady oversight of rural road projects across the state, including recently completed and ongoing works such as the Emevor-Orogun Road in Isoko North and the Obi-Ibabu Road in Ndokwa West, as concrete evidence of Governor Oborevwori’s M.O.R.E Agenda taking shape in communities that had long been underserved.

“Beyond the microphones and the media briefings, Charles has quietly supervised the delivery of durable rural infrastructure that has changed the everyday reality of our people,” Amori noted. “That is the mark of a Commissioner who understands that public communication and public service must go hand in hand.”

Amori also referenced Aniagwu’s recent recognition as the 2026 Media Icon of the Year by the Delta Icons of Goodwill Awards (DIGA), describing the honour as a fitting testament to a career built on integrity and effective communication.

“This latest recognition only confirms what those of us who have worked closely with government already know,” Amori said. “Charles Aniagwu has, over the years, proven himself to be both the voice that builds and the builder who speaks. Few public officers manage to wear both hats with such ease and credibility.”

The Chief Adviser prayed for Aniagwu’s continued strength, wisdom, and good health, expressing confidence that he would keep serving Delta State and its people with the same passion and dedication that have defined his public life so far.

“On behalf of my principal and indeed on my own behalf, I say happy birthday to a worthy colleague and a true son of Delta State. May this new age bring you renewed vigour to serve our dear state even more meaningfully,” Amori stated.

He urged Deltans to join him in celebrating Aniagwu, describing him as an asset to the Oborevwori administration and to the state at large.
