Love is in the air for Delta State Government Information Officer and Public Relations Officer in the Office of the Chief Adviser to the Governor, Joelson Ejovwo Wilson-Eboh, as he prepares to begin a new chapter of his life with his heartthrob, Miss Sophia Onome Oderowho, affectionately called “Ome.”

After years of telling other people’s stories, promoting government activities and keeping the public informed, the communication and public relations professional is set to become the subject of a beautiful story of his own — a story of love, commitment and a journey towards forever.

The much-anticipated union, tagged ‘#SOJOE2026’, will bring together two hearts and two families in a celebration of love, culture, faith and companionship.

Wilson-Eboh, an Assistant Chief Information Officer in the Delta State Ministry of Information, currently serves as the Public Relations Officer in the Office of the Chief Adviser to the Governor of Delta State, Senator (Chief) Dr. Ighoyota Amori.

Known for his dedication to public communication, media relations and youth development, Joelson has built a career around giving visibility to people, institutions and events. This time, however, the spotlight will be on him as he takes one of life’s most significant steps with the woman who has captured his heart.

His bride-to-be, Sophia Onome Oderowho, whom he fondly calls “Ome,” is the daughter of Evang. Elder and Mrs. Jeremiah Omovie Oderowho of the Adjaro family, Ekiugbo, in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.

Joelson, on the other hand, hails from the family of the late Chief Dr. And late Evang. Mrs. Wilson Omavowah Eboh, JP, of the Olodi family in Okere Urhobo Kingdom, Warri South Local Government Area of the state.

Beyond the excitement of the wedding ceremonies, the union represents a beautiful coming together of two Urhobo families, united by love and the shared hope of building a lasting home.

For Joelson, who has spent much of his professional life working behind the scenes to ensure that important stories reach the public, his forthcoming wedding offers a refreshing change of roles.

The man who is often concerned with headlines, press releases, public engagements and media coverage is now making headlines for a different reason — love.

And at the centre of this new chapter is Ome, the woman with whom he has chosen to share his dreams, build a family and embrace the future.

According to the wedding invitation released by both families, the traditional marriage ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at No. 15, Pipeline Omovhodo Layout, Iwrenene Road, Ekiugbo, Ughelli, Delta State, beginning at 10:00 a.m., with a reception immediately afterwards at the same venue.

The church wedding, which will mark the holy solemnization of their union, is scheduled for Sunday, November 1, 2026, at Assemblies of God Church, opposite Tipper Garage, Anwai Road, Asaba, Delta State, also at 10:00 a.m.

The wedding colours are burgundy, dusty rose and gold, reflecting the elegance and warmth expected to characterize the celebrations.

As the countdown to #SOJOE2026 begins, the forthcoming marriage marks a personal milestone for the information officer, whose professional journey has been dedicated to communication, public service and the development of young people.

For a man accustomed to documenting the achievements, celebrations and defining moments of others, the coming days will offer an opportunity to create memories that will remain with him for a lifetime.

This time, Joelson is not writing the story. He is living it. And with his beloved Ome by his side, a new chapter is about to begin.
