2027: Ukwuani Women Pledge APC 5/5 After Meeting With Hon. Ojo

Ahead of the 2027 general elections, Hon. Alphonsus Ojo, a former member of the Delta State Assembly has continued to expand his grassroots mobilization drive with a strategic engagement of women across Ukwuani Local Government Area.

This time, the focus was on is on Ojo Women in Politics, a formidable political movement pioneered by the former Lawmaker and structured to cut across the nine clans and ten INEC wards in Ukwuani.

The group, which has evolved into one of the most visible and influential women political networks in the locality, converged for an enlarged strategic meeting convened by Hon Ojo.

Speaking at the meeting, Hon Ojo said the engagement was aimed at assessing the preparedness and commitment of the women, as well as sensitizing them on current political realities within the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He charged every member of the group to become an evangelist of the APC project in their various polling units, wards and clans, noting that the party's victory would depend largely on grassroots women who remain closest to the electorate.

According to him, the ultimate goal is a clean sweep for the party, stressing that APC 5/5 from the Presidency to the State House of Assembly, saying that it can only be achieved through sustained door-to-door mobilization.

Hon Ojo who is the Consultant to the Delta State Government on Health, expressed appreciation for the loyalty, sacrifices and steadfastness of the women, assuring them that their efforts have not gone unnoticed and that their welfare remains a priority.

"The strength of our party at the grassroots is in our women. You are the mobilizers, the canvassers and the keepers of the polling units. If we get it right with women, victory is assured," he said.

In their responses, members of the group reaffirmed their commitment to the APC and pledged to intensify mobilization in their respective communities to ensure total victory for the party in the 2027 polls.

The meeting ended on an enthusiastic note, with renewed resolve to take the APC message to every household in Ukwuani.
