Political mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections received a fresh boost in Delta State as youths declared their readiness to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Executive Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Political Affairs, Dr Maurice Ojo-Ede, has said.

Ojo-Ede made the assertion while commending Collins Ogheneruona, convener of the Run and Rave event, for successfully bringing together Delta youths in what he described as a demonstration of their growing political engagement ahead of the 2027 polls.

Speaking with an Arise News correspondent, Ojo-Ede said the gathering had shown that Delta youths were prepared to mobilise behind Tinubu and Oborevwori as the state and the country approach another election cycle.

He said the political message from the event was clear, stressing that the youths had taken a position to support the President and the Governor based on their assessment of the administration's performance so far.

“2027 won’t just be an election but a coronation because we are all ready to show where we stand,” Ojo-Ede said.

“We have stood with one voice, and the mantra is to deliver the President and Governor come 2027 because we are satisfied with the job they have done so far.”

The statement adds a political dimension to the Run and Rave gathering, positioning the event not only as a youth-oriented programme but also as a platform for political mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.
