2027: Delta APC chair inaugurates Otirhue groups for Tinubu, Oborevwori

The Delta State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief Solomon Arenyeka, has inaugurated two political support groups in Okpe Local Government Area to mobilise grassroots support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori ahead of the 2027 elections.
The groups, Concern Otirhue Movement for Sheriff and Tinubu and Otirhue Progressive Movement for Sheriff and Tinubu, were inaugurated at a colourful ceremony in Mereje, Okpe LGA.
The groups were founded by the Chairman of the Delta State Local Government Service Commission, Hon. Pastor Joseph Otirhue.
Speaking at the event, Otirhue said the groups were established to strengthen grassroots mobilisation and secure victory for Tinubu, Oborevwori and other APC candidates in the 2027 elections.
He said the groups would mobilise support for APC candidates contesting seats in the State and National Assemblies, stressing that the objective was to ensure victory for the party across all levels.
Otirhue urged members of the groups to remain committed to the party and intensify their engagement with the people at the grassroots.
Inaugurating the groups, Arenyeka charged members to work assiduously for the success of the party, urging them to embrace the "five-over-five" objective of delivering victory for all APC candidates in the 2027 elections.
He urged the members to take the party's message to the people and ensure that the structures of the two groups remained active across the communities.
Other party leaders who spoke at the ceremony urged members to remain united and committed to grassroots mobilisation, saying sustained engagement with the electorate would be critical to the party's success in 2027.
The event also featured the empowerment of more than 250 beneficiaries by Otirhue, who described the gesture as the fifth phase of his empowerment programme.
He said the programme was designed to provide support to party members and other beneficiaries, assuring those who were not captured in the latest phase that they would be considered in subsequent phases.
Among dignitaries at the event were former Minister of Culture and Information, Okakuro Prof. Sam Oyovbaire; Chief Robert Onome; member representing Okpe State Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Okakuro James Augoye; and Chairman of Okpe Local Government Council, Okakuro Hon. Isaiah Esiovwa.

Emmanuel Egbabor; and other party leaders and stakeholders.
The inauguration further boosted the party's grassroots mobilisation efforts in Okpe, with members of the two groups pledging to strengthen their structures and mobilise voters for Tinubu, Oborevwori and other APC candidates in 2027.
